Unleash the Happy!!

Multiple studies show that workplace stress is on the rise. From massive workloads to limited job security, work-related stressors are damaging the American worker each day. One company decided to fight this trend by easing the workday with an extracurricular activity: Playing with adorable doggies.

Dogswell, makers of premium pet food, decided to celebrate Bring Your Dog to Work Day by surprising a room full of New York City office workers with more than 20 lively pups. It was part of the company’s “Unleash the Happy” campaign.

 

Easing a Ruff Day

The response was ecstatic. People stopped clicking away and their faces lit up as pooches toured the floor for petting and pampering.

Even the heads at the office didn’t know what hit them. Dogswell contacted management posing as a fake news crew that wanted to cover the office for a story on workplace stress.

The stunt was an experiment of sorts. Dogswell believes every-day troubles like stress and anxiety could be alleviated by spending time with happy dogs. Judging by the smiling faces in the video below, it’s safe to say there is truth to the theory.

 

This video was part of a series which showcased people in stressful situations being surprised and delighted by dogs. The first one was shot during the 2014 Bring Your Dog to Work Day by Pet Sitters International.
